We Finally Did It

Since we've been married, each January I complain to Cameron and ask him why we didn't go on vacation. Seriously, January is just the worst. So...this year, we did it. We planned a vacation for the first couple of weeks of February. I started in a new position at Intermountain in January, so going in February worked much better and it kept us focused on getting through January. We planned to sail out of Ft. Lauderdale on our cruise and since we were in Florida I convinced Cameron and my Dad to visit Disney World the day before we sailed away. It was the most MAGICAL day.

Crew loved our adventure in Disney World. There was so much for him to see. My grandma, aunt, and little cousins that live in Florida met up with us which was so fun. I was so happy to have them meet crew bear.

We rode quite a few rides and of course, had to meet pooh bear. Crew was a little scared on some of the rides, but he LOVED tigger and pooh bear.

I loved being in Disney with my little family. We made sure to get Crew a set of mickey ears and the cutest mickey balloon. I SO wish we had had more time in the parks and am dying to go back. It really was the best day.

hello blog world!

it's been a very long time. I've been thinking about this blog lately - I think it's because it pops up on my "timehop" often. I thought I'd come back and say hello.

life with cameron is lovely. we have a happy house and have been blessed far beyond what we deserve.

I'll post pictures someday.

Sine I last posts we've both gained weight (me more than him), work full time, I've graduated college, he's transferred to the U to finish. We now have a dog & a cat and wonderful callings.

Life truly is so great. I'm excited to get back to blogging now that I have more time without school. here's a few pictures of our life as of late.

Friday night Old Men's basketball. Shand and I went and watched our men play on Friday...And by watched, I mean we both sat there and talked. Our boys are pretty much best friends, and we are too. It's a win-win situation. They were by far the cutest men out there and we so much fun to watch. And cameron's calves...mmmm. I am one lucky girl.

Road trip to Layton with the parents. Wedding Saturdays are stressful, but they will be worth it. 

Abby did a fashion show for me and chels on Saturday. The fashion show was her stuffed cat in different outfits. She is such a creative little girl. I adore her.

Joined the world of Snap Chat. (about three months late). Sometimes Ryan sends me facial pictures and I sneak them on my phone. 

A Trip to Find Fall

Today instead of taking my usual Sunday nap, I headed up to Butterfield canyon to find fall.

About two and a half miles up the leaves have changed, and they are beautiful. 

I parked my car and walked around like taking pictures of the leaves. Classic. 

It was a beautiful afternoon, and a great beginning to a wonderful season. 

Welcome back fall. I'm am beyond happy to see you. 

Craving

perhaps it's because I spent my friday night and saturday morning volunteering

or perhaps it's because I'm in the best shape I've ever been in and don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

maybe it's because I want to drink a five hour energy drink and sleep in a van with stinky teammates

or maybe it's because I thought of the coolest team name ever

it could be because I need a vacation really badly (and this includes lots of road-tripping)

or it could be because I need a new medal and a ragnar shirt that fits....

I feel like it's a combination of all of these things, but...I'm really craving Ragnar. 

We missed out on Wasatch Back, but I can tell you folks, my team is doing Ragnar this November. 

We are going to run out hearts out & guess what, my boy friend is doing it with us.

A man that does Ragnar? Marry him.

My First Time in Tooele

Tooele - {two-will-a)

Yesterday, after work, I made a trek out to Tooele for my Relay for Life team meeting. 

The meeting was at Kristin's house, so after work I sat in her cubicle, then followed her home.

I'm pretty sure I passed the ocean on the way there. The GSL actually looked...goregous.

Before we exited Kristin and I pulled over so I could take a picture of the exit sign. I'm pretty sure she wanted me to stand in front of the sign, but the cars were moving so fast I chickened out.

We almost got pulled over driving into town. Seriously, the guy behind me got pulled over. I lucked out and Kristin, miss-speed-all-the-way-from-SLC really lucked out.

I saw my first ever tractor crossing sign in Erda! (what an awful town name)

Then we made it to Tooele.

We picked up Gabe from daycare then Kristin made the speediest pizza run I've ever seen. I'm not even kidding. Two minutes: in & out with a hot and ready.

When we got to her house Gabe and I played in the back yard. We played soccer, football, baseball, AND jumped on the tramp. Oh how I've missed trampolines. Seriously. 

I think Gabe and I are kind of best friends now. He even called me tonight. A call the next day from a boy? That's always a good sign.

We had a great meeting and I am super excited for Relay! It is going to be a B L A S T. 

Tooele was not so bad, it even had a stop light & indoor plumbing! and it made for a

great adventure!

Instead of Finals....

Sometimes, I go to school at 11:30 to be for sure, on time to my 1:00 finals.
I sit and wait. and wait.
Then I find out the final has been moved to thursday instead. It's 12:00 and my next final isn't until 3:00.
I brought nothing to study, because I didn't think I'd have time to kill.
So, sometimes chel and I get to go on adventures instead of study for finals and take tests.
Today was one of those sometimes.

Recognize this establishment? Yes, it sure is the Hookah shop in the Provo UT Girls vid. Cool.

Our yummy lunch!

I called chelsea and we decided to go out to lunch. I picked her up and she pointed me in the direction of a health foods resturant we could go to. Ya, we didn't find it. But we did find this new york deli! It had three tables, yummy sandwiches, and lots of character. We chatted, took pictures, and had a nice break from finals week.
And sometimes, that's just what we need.
