2016 Christmas Pictures
We had some last minute family pictures taken this year because Kali Poulsen was offering mini sessions and I'm obsessed with her photography. We got semi dressed up and had a quick session. Crew Bear was PERFECT. I kind of think he likes getting his pictures taken (which is good news considering...).
While we were waiting for our turn to shoot Crew did what he does best - threw up all over my dress. It was the worst. He has a special talent for throwing up on me at the worst times. I survived and the pictures still turned out super cute.
This year I don't think Cameron and Crew will be game for as many family pictures, so I'll have to just cherish these.

Sister Ward's Farewell - December 2012
Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend Sister Danielle Ward's missionary farewell. She was called to the Billings, Montana mission and will be a superb (danYell lingo) missionary.
Danielle is one of the most amazing people I've ever met. Truly, words can not describe this girl. She is so loving and kind to everyone. EVERYONE. That is not an understatement. DanYell can and does make anyone and everyone she knows feel like a million bucks.
I had the opportunity to serve as a Senior Class Officer with her my last year of highschool.
The four of us (class officers) became extremely close, and I love each of these girls dearly.
I am so proud of all that they are and all that they are becoming. Somehow I know that the four of us will always remain in contact and be able to pick up right where we left off.
Sister Ward is off to serve the Lord and I could not be more proud of her! See you in 18, Danielle.

A Little Place Called Mona
This weekend my cute friends and I made a little road trip to a southern town known as mona. It's the kind of a town where if you blink, you might miss it. We were in search of a pond we had seen on an engagement video that had a rope swing.
Yes, a rope swing. like the one in that fantastic movie, the notebook.
So we were adventurous, drove down, asked a mona native for directions, and made our way to the ponds.
We spent the afternoon jumping off rope into a pond. it was completely scary and gross, and yet, absolutely awesome.
The most important thing to know when jumping into a pond is to keep your mouth closed. Unless, of course, you like to swallow mysterious pond water.
We made little friends around the pond and laughed at the pack of hipsters that threw their toms on our pile of towels in order to make room for their bbq and guitar.
We also enjoy our stylish pond hair and the unlimited jokes that come from watching people jump into a pond. Oh, and creature jokes. Those never ever will get old.
It was a fantastic day with some great people. I love those girls. We ended our road trip blasting some summer classics with the windows down on the freeway. yes, mysterious black car, we were singing to you.
We spent the night together, along with miss aubree. Here are some keywords from our night's adventures.
Fire pitt, jamba, late night walmart, wolf shirt, bratty horse, melted spoon, rides in camie's truck, sliding into the window in camie's truck, chats in the living room, and mooning ashlee and aubree.
The inside of my thighs are completely bruised and I am beyond sore. But truly, it was so so worth it.
Great people. Great day. Mona, you are our new favorite place. We will see you soon.

Pictures & a Quote to Sum Up My Life (lately)
pictures
I repainted my dresser last weekend & am completely in love.
This weekend I put the final touches on it.
I can't wait for my new bedroom and the tricks I have up my sleeve to make it stinking cool.
Blue dresser? Probably the coolest thing I've ever created.
Today (may 20th) is cameron's 19 month anniversary.
19! The thought completely blows my mind.
I have not seen that man in 19th months & it kind of seems like it was just yesterday.
I never thought I'd make it here, kind of like I still don't feel like I'll ever make it to October.
And yet, I will & it will be completely worth it.
Our countdown chain is down to four links. nbd.
And those girls? I super happy to have them back from school this summer.
They are the best friends, truly.
We made dinner this week & cuddled while watching the vow.
Last week we watched the lucky one.
Chick flicks make for good saturday nights.
They also visited me on a DI run.
It's so easy to have fun with them & I love it. I missed you both dearly.
Here's to great summer adventures that await us.
...and a quote

The Best Idea I Ever Had
I don't know why it took me fourteen months. Honestly. But I guess that's the thing about waiting...I've never done it before and I've never known anyone well enough who's done it to get their secrets. But I'm begining to get creative. For Christmas, I sent Cam a little video camera with seven videos of me in my day to day life. Originally I thought we could just send the camera back and forth. Then I got really smart and bought him an SD card so he could send me videos and I could just watch them on my laptop. Today I got that SD in the mail. BEST. DAY. EVER. Truly, it is one of the best days I've had since he left. TWO videos and a handful of pictures. I haven't seen that boy talk in fourteen months...today I saw him talking to me and telling me he loves me. It's not something anyone can appriciate except me...and that's okay. I love him. We are so close to being together again and it is on days like this that I truly understand why we have to be apart and how blessed we are. I love my cam man...
Here is a taste of what I got today :)

That ugly sweater won't die OH and P.S. I've lost 6 pounds. Holla! I've still got so much to go, but i'll take that. Swimsuit season...I'll be ready :) |

Something New
I decided I wanted to spruce up my blog.
So I went and took some pictures.
Oh ya...did I mention I got a new camera for christmas?
As if I wasn't annoying enough when it comes to taking pictures.
This is a whole new level.
