Family Cruise 2017 - Disney World

(my dad cut crew out of the picture....WHY?!)

We Finally Did It

Since we've been married, each January I complain to Cameron and ask him why we didn't go on vacation. Seriously, January is just the worst. So...this year, we did it. We planned a vacation for the first couple of weeks of February. I started in a new position at Intermountain in January, so going in February worked much better and it kept us focused on getting through January. We planned to sail out of Ft. Lauderdale on our cruise and since we were in Florida I convinced Cameron and my Dad to visit Disney World the day before we sailed away. It was the most MAGICAL day.

Crew loved our adventure in Disney World. There was so much for him to see. My grandma, aunt, and little cousins that live in Florida met up with us which was so fun. I was so happy to have them meet crew bear.

We rode quite a few rides and of course, had to meet pooh bear. Crew was a little scared on some of the rides, but he LOVED tigger and pooh bear.

I loved being in Disney with my little family. We made sure to get Crew a set of mickey ears and the cutest mickey balloon. I SO wish we had had more time in the parks and am dying to go back. It really was the best day.

I Went Back to Panem this Weekend

I finally had the kind of a weekend that I have been craving for months. A weekend with no plans and no commitments. After work on friday I went for a run and decided that what I longed to do more than anything was read. Lame perhaps, but I am a girl that finds happiness in the simplest of things. So I went home, put on my sweats, and traveled to Panem. It's been far too long since I visited and 800 some pages later I'm sad that I soon have to leave. I read the hunger games friday, catching fire saturday, and hope to finish mocking jay tonight.
Don't fool yourself, however, I'm not a complete freak. I managed to leave my book for a couple things this weekend:

I ran a 10k (6.2 miles) bright & early Saturday morning with my Dad. I ran it in 62 minutes. I was hoping for under an hour, but I feel as if 62 minutes is respectable. It was beautiful weather and was a great race. The first of many this season.
PS. please excuse my disgusting face. I look high & gross. I promise I'm much cuter in real life.
I convinced Ashlee to go with me to get my favorite treat: frozen yogurt. And even better, at menchies they have heated peanut butter that you can drizzle over the top. It's basically a marriage of my two favorite foods.
Cute ashy with her yogurt. I won't even mention the toy they gave us with our purchases. Ash loved it WAY too much.
Also, I now have a new bucket list item. I will be attending the Kentucky Derby, preferably sitting in Millionaire Row, wearing an extravagant hat cheering for a horse with a name like
"I'll have another."

Happy Last Day of School

Here are two pictures from my last day of my first year of college.

Nothing says "happy last day of finals" like a yummy smoothie for the road.

This sign means that school is over & I love it.

Today was my LAST day of school! I took my last final at 11:00 am & by 12:30 Lina and I were
on the road back home giddy about the great things to come this summer.
SUMMER. just the thought makes me so ridicously happy.
On Monday I will officially be full time. 40 hours a week baby.

This summer I plan to read read read, take lots of pictures, train for TOU, work like none other, enjoy way too many snow cones, get sunburns, paint my toe nails, ace my summer math class (now there's a story), save money, go swimming, drive miles & miles with my windows down, move into a new house, buy a new bedroom set, go to bees games, try tofu, have lots & lots of fires, volunteer for the Romney campaign, go fishing, go hiking, vote in the June primaries, go to institute, paint, & get ready for the return of my missionary this fall. THIS FALL.

Summer is going to be fantastic. I have so much to look forward to in the coming months & I know that the busier I am, the faster Cameron's return will be. I can not wait :)

Cheers to summer!
