I have my math 1050 final this thursday. After that class, I will never ever ever have to take algebra again. ever. Well, if I pass my final that is.
Working on the Romney campaign is completely amazing. We have some big events to come and less than 100 days until the election. It's going to be a stressful week and things will only get more stressful until november. But it is such a rewarding experience. I am so blessed.
Because of my internship I can't tweet, fb, or even blog any thing politically. No more political rants or posts...at least until november 7th.
Cameron will be home in 85 days.
I bought a new bed this weekend. It's a queen bed and I can't wait to sleep in it. Sadly, it'll be lonely for a few more months. Next spring things will be better.
We move out on wednesday. Three days. I am beyond excited.
The olympics are on. I've been camped out on my couch for the last few hours. It's fantastic.
School starts soon. Mixed emotions for sure.
I think that's all.

Happiness Is...
Okay, today I am doing a 'Sara' post. If you don't know sara you should know she is a lovely friend of mine who took a challenge this year to keep a "happiness journal" or something to that extent. Sara took it one step further and created a happiness blog. Please, check her out here. She is one of the coolest girls you will ever meet and a great friend.
Anyways, today was a great day, but I couldn't really figure out why it was. It was made up of a bunch of great small things. Thus, the idea for a 'sara' post.
Happiness is....
Patrick calling me KayKay
Janna & Amanda talking to me about weddings. Ah....sigh
Daddy-daughter yogurt land dates
Desert before dinner
Singing the "amanda"song to amanda as I walked past her desk
Cameron calling me "love" in my last letter
Awkwardly wearing the same shirt as the man I rode the elevator up with this morning. It was great.
Yummy bread
New carpet. It feels so nice on my feet-ys
Another massive project at work done and gone today
Two words: sassy pants
Voting for Mitt today in the primaries
Finishing an amazing book last night. "have a little faith," by mitch albulm. Go get it. Now.
Less than four months until the big arrival
Figgy meowing at the birdies out side
Watching a movie with my pops
I am one that believes a simple life is a beautiful life. I seriously had a great day, just because simple things made me so happy. I am so blessed to be where I am in life.

Monday
I stayed up way too late last night watching men's olympic diving trials. mmmm thank you olympics. I sure am looking forward to all the men I get to enjoy staring at in five weeks.
I regretted staying up so late as I snoozed my alarm for the fourth time this morning, but eventually I made it out of my bed.
I got an email from my love & spent most of the day in my mind, thinking of him. nothing new.
Janna and I rocked the production room today. We got major projects done and out. Just the two of us, with a wee bit of help from Kristin and Kenton. I am proud of our little team.
Also, Janna may have convinced me to watch an episode of Duck Dynasty. Rich rednecks...sounds promising.
I stopped at Macey's and picked up granola for din din. The cashier asked me if I was doing anything tonight. "Eating my granola & visiting teaching. thanks, bye." Evidently the ring means nothing.
Visiting teaching was a blast. Who knew? I have a fabulous partner and got to talk to some great ladies tonight. Also, I got to play with doggies. Okay cameron, you win, we can get a dog. I forgot how much I loved them. Two conditions: it has to be from the animal shelter & it can't sleep on our bed. deal?
Now I am off to bed. I have to wake early tomorrow to run then head to the primaries to vote for Mitt. Oh and a bunch of other great people.
Speaking of which, have I told you about my Mitt internship? I'll save that for another rambling post. It's worth the wait.
Happy monday lovelies.

{things from today}
I woke up late...you know how this goes. You roll over, check the time on your phone, freak out & continue to freak out until you clock in ten minutes late. Then you hang your head in shame as you walk quietly to your cubicle. Yes, this was me today. I hate the walk of shame.
I ate way too many saltines in the afternoon. I hate those darn saltines, they are so tempting. And once I have one...I have four. haha stupid crackers!
To pay for my saltine-binge I ran four miles and had an assortment of thoughts while doing so. Some of the best:
- "OW. freak I just cut open my ankle" (I tend to hit my ankle with my other foot as I run)
- "Why did Zombie Land just come on?! Oh, rule #1 is cardio? Well I'm good, I'm doing that now."
- "This movie is so dumb. I wonder if I can reach the remote from the other treadmill while I keep running."
- "Oh good, everyone left the gym, now in case I fall no one will know."
- "I wonder if that man thinks I run weird."
and so many others....
I REALLY need to find some way to distract myself while running. Yesterday I tried to go through my flash cards (and yes, it did look as silly as you'd imagine). It was not practical. I've tried watching tv shows on the Ipod and reading....I guess for me, rocking out to mayday parade is about the best distraction I can think of. If anyone else has a better suggestion, please feel free to...suggest!
I still haven't mailed cameron's easter package. I am such a sucky girlfriend. Maybe tomorrow...or maybe september. We'll see.
Happy rainy wednesday bloggies!

We Go On Dates
Well okay...Patrick doesn't have a girlfriend. I have a boyfriend, but he's a missionary and can't take me on dates so I guess this works. We like to go on "dates" together, and have a great time together.
Today Patrick came home and said, "I have 100 bucks, wanna help me blow it?"
Really I just wanted to take a nap, but after some convincing we decided to see The Hunger Games (surprise).
We looked up show times and found one in twenty minutes. Armed with popcorn, water, and a pretzel we made it into the theater at the district just as the movie began. Seriously, right at the beginning. We fell into our seats and enjoyed the hunger games.
Patrick has never read the books or seen the movie, but he loved it. He cried when Rue died and couldn't stop drooling over Katniss...No worries, I enjoyed checking out Peeta and also cried at Rue's death (again)...so it's even. We were both disappointed with the cave scene, but enjoyed the game maker's beard. I think we are going to be throwing a Hunger Games themed Halloween party, just so we can dress cool-ly. All in all...we had a blast.
After the movie we chatted about the concept of the game and I gave away the next two books, just so patrick could be informed. We headed over to menchies for some yogurt. I filled my cup and patrick opted out, but still paid. When the cashier rung us up she asked if we needed an extra spoon to share my yogurt. Poor patrick, I thought the kid was going to die of embarrassments. "awkward" is all he could whisper. So what, people think we're boyfriend and girlfriend, but the truth is, we have a great time together. Always.
On the way home patrick ate his cookies (we found a cute shop next to menchies), I ate my yogurt, and together we sang our hearts out to mayday parade, occasionally interrupting to mention another thing we loved about the movie.
And that folks, is how to spend a Tuesday afternoon.

A Few of My Favorite Things From Today
My new AUTOGRAPHED No Apology book by mr. Mitt Romney. Thank you Mr & Mrs Ulch. As if you weren't already some of my favorite people ever.
My slimfast shake and calcium chew in the morning.
My new olive green capris...now the trick, figure out what to wear them with.
My email date with Cameron today. An actual conversation. It was so nice.
My growing hair. It's getting longer and I'm pleased.
My sweet brother who got me chapstick because my lips were hurting and who watches Glee with me on lazy afternoons. Seriously, I have the best brother.
My flash cards. Here I come bio exam.
My trip to the DI...I went to the mall to buy new pants (that actually fit) but could not bring myself to spend 60 bucks on one pair of pants. I retreated and some how ended up at the DI. I never got my pants...but I did get some cute, cheap shorts. I am such a tight wad, I know.
...and later tonight, turkey chili (thank you chel) and the biggest loser. Two more of my favorite things to end an excellent day.

Things From Today: Awkward & Awesome
Okay okay....I am do a copy-cat type post. But this isn't going to become a normal thing. I promise. I feel like this is just the best way to describe today. It was an Awkward & Awesome day.
Awkward
- Walking up the stairs to class with a v-neck shirt that maybe was a little too deep and having the man coming down look at me then fall down the stairs. Keep walking keep walking...and pull up your shirt.
- Having you professor call on you to answer the quiz question. "Um...." "We just talked about this." "I wasn't paying attention." Well now the class full of debate nerds and hot guys that care about politics thinks your an idiot. cool.
- Going to a global warming forum for extra credit. Oh, it's in spanish. Didn't know until I got there, but I couldn't just leave....
- Having to suddenly laugh durning the forum when everyone else starts so you look like you know what the heck the professor is saying...in spanish.
- Having my right ear clogged all day and a swollen tonsil. I'm a beaut.
Awesome
- The nice man who gave me his seat on the shuttle. Chivalry is still alive and well on shuttles and buses and I love it.
- Meeting a girl in geology who loves slim fast shakes like I do. Instant friend.
- The cute runner boy in poly sci. History major and RM. oh please cameron, come home soon!
- Trying on swimsuits. Not to buy, just to try
- My new champagne pink nail polish
- Having no school again until next thursday
Happy Thurday! One more day 'til the weekend, things are looking great.

We Love Snuggling
10 January 2012
Things From Today: January 10, TWO THOUSAND TWELVE!
I absolutely love that it is 2012. I don't feel like this needs any explanation, but I've been waiting fourteen months to say "he comes home THIS year." And he does.
But that's all off topic.
Today was my first day of school for the spring semester. AND it was great! Really great actually.
Perhaps one of the best things about my new schedule is that I start class at 8:30 and finish by 2:15...Which means I'm home by 3, instead of 8:30 like last semester! It's so nice to still have the afternoon to do homework or be lazy (more often the latter). It feels like a normal school day again and I love it. As great as it was to start class at 11:30, it just was not practical for me or my schedule. Guess it takes a semester to learn the tricks.
My classes are really great as well. I have extra credit opportunities in all but one and (seemingly) great professors. My international relations political science class is full of poly sci majors and true debaters. My kind of people. It is going to be a great class. My professor is from some Asian country (I couldn't understand where he said he was from...but I got that he was Asian. Hopefully I'll be able to understand him better soon!) and worked for the US government in D.C. He's legit. I am so excited. Surprisingly, the other class I am stoked about is Ethics and Values...a required philosophy class. How did I know it would be a great class? Before we started my professor turned on Fox news. (Secretly informing us that he is a conservative. A nice change in an overly liberal college atmosphere.) Then we learned that we would be required to watch 1 1/2 hours of commentary each week. (Hello meet the press and Bill O'Reily) Then he made fun of the ridiculous occupy wall street movement and participants. He is my kind of guy. I can't wait for class discussions and our projects. I am so excited for his class.
Call me a nerd...but school was great today and I have a great feeling that this will be a fantastic semester.
