A funny picture I snagged off Facebook

Say

You know that great song, Say? The one that goes "say what you need to say?"

Well, here's what I need to say:

- UTA buses really need to look before they just pull out. Honestly, I almost died on the way to work.
- I like to stay up late, but hate getting up early and really hate that I repeat my bad habit every night
- Obamacare. I'm not even going to talk about this right now. I'll visit my political blog this weekend and really let my feelings known. As for now, I'm pissed. Seriously pissed off.
- Day one. Job one. Repeal. (okay...I'll stop).
- Menchies will never get old. Neither will the melted peanut butter.
- I haven't run since saturday, and oddly, I'm okay with that.
- I miss cameron. It's been a stressful few weeks and I just want someone to cuddle with and some one to tell me it'll all be okay.
- At the same time, I am getting really scared about his return. What if? That's all I can think about.....
- I hate obama (I had to do that one).
- Our house went up for sale today. Signs and everything. I guess this is real.
- Instagram is the best. That and pinterest.
- I don't get fireworks. At all. Colorado, Arizona, and Utah are literally burning down and idiot people still want to buy a bunch of fireworks? Are you seriously. Props to you Herbie, for outlawing fireworks outside of our cities. We can't afford to let our state burn down.
- 117 days
- 131 days
- October 20 - SOJO half marathon
- November 9-10 - Vegas Ragnar
- I'm kind of craving a twitter...just to follow political figures and fox news contributors. Is that completely lame?
- I really need to wash my car. Really.
- Speaking of cars...I've almost had mine for a whole year. 12 payments. Best thing I ever bought. I am so proud of that purchase and how hard I work each day to make my payments. That, right there, is my piece of adulthood.
- I am the worst nail painter...ever
- Mona on saturday? Can you say road trip?!
- Olympics.......
- Just one more.....In order to repeal Obama care we have to get rid of Obama. Sounds good to me.

Monday

I stayed up way too late last night watching men's olympic diving trials. mmmm thank you olympics. I sure am looking forward to all the men I get to enjoy staring at in five weeks.

I regretted staying up so late as I snoozed my alarm for the fourth time this morning, but eventually I made it out of my bed.

I got an email from my love & spent most of the day in my mind, thinking of him. nothing new.

Janna and I rocked the production room today. We got major projects done and out. Just the two of us, with a wee bit of help from Kristin and Kenton. I am proud of our little team.

Also, Janna may have convinced me to watch an episode of Duck Dynasty. Rich rednecks...sounds promising.

I stopped at Macey's and picked up granola for din din. The cashier asked me if I was doing anything tonight. "Eating my granola & visiting teaching. thanks, bye." Evidently the ring means nothing.

Visiting teaching was a blast. Who knew? I have a fabulous partner and got to talk to some great ladies tonight. Also, I got to play with doggies. Okay cameron, you win, we can get a dog. I forgot how much I loved them. Two conditions: it has to be from the animal shelter & it can't sleep on our bed. deal?

Now I am off to bed. I have to wake early tomorrow to run then head to the primaries to vote for Mitt. Oh and a bunch of other great people.

Speaking of which, have I told you about my Mitt internship? I'll save that for another rambling post. It's worth the wait.

Happy monday lovelies.

The Best Advertisement...Ever

While wasting time tonight, avoiding my homework I ended up on YouTube watching music videos...
See that in the side bar? And that on the video screen? Ads for Mormon.org
Pretty much the coolest thing ever.
Another point for the Mormons.

We Love Snuggling

Cloudy days and snuggly kittens make for a good excuse to lay in bed and watch teenage dramas after school.

Things from Today 10/18

my professor compared the earth's polar stream to a yamika. "It's like the earth is wearing a yamika."

a booth at school had a huge sign that said "free candy AND condoms."
I went and stalked up.
ha.

there is a crazy girl laughing at her computer and talking to herself. maybe she's skyping...but i'd bet she's crazy.

Nostalgic

I hate to admit this...but I ended up going to the high school choir concert tonight in support of my brother. I haven't been to wj since I left the morning of graduation. It was so weird to be back in the hall ways and to see so many familiar people. College is weird. I know no one. I am no one. That was never the case in high school. Even tonight friendly faces, including Mrs. Robertson, went out of their way to say hi to me. I miss that. I miss mattering and having a place. I love this new part of my life, but going back tonight made me realize the lack of appreciation I had for such a great time in my life.
The other part of my nostalgia has to do with my missionary. I saw his old locker tonight. It brought back memories of the days I used to wait after school and "conveniently" talk to my friends in front of his locker just to see if he'd look my way. He always did. We had such a silly relationship back then. We'd walk right past one another in the hallways, even though we both wanted to say hello to one another, simply because we were too scared. Ya, we're very alike. I remember the days I'd sit at the lunch table to face his table and him. We'd make eye contact all lunch but neither of us acted upon it. We were so silly. Although I don't miss the awkwardness and shyness between us, I miss seeing him. I miss having a text message telling me how beautiful and loved I am when I wake up. I miss having someone to share my nights and weekends with. I miss holding hands. I hate always being lonely and always the extra wheel on someone's date. Missionaries are weird. After a while, it seems they aren't real anymore. It's not something you can explain, I think it's only something you understand when you feel it. I'm glad I went to the school tonight, because I was able to be reminded how real he is. How much he loves me and all the good (and awkward) times we had together at that school. I decided though, it's time to see his family again. They make him real for me and they like talking about him just as much as I do. and they listen.

Essentials.

I went to Walmart today and picked up the essentials...

Tampons.
Sunless tan lotion.
Lipstick in assorted colors.
and T. Lautner by my side.
I'm serious about my shopping trips.

Things from Today

- Woke up at 6:30 on a Tuesday. Tuesday and Thursday are my sleep-in-until-7:30 days. Lame.
- I took patrick to school and was ALMOST identified by my ex-fellow classmen. I don't want them to think i'm a loser that still hangs out at high school. That is so NOT me.
- Went to the dentist. Still no cavaties. But my dental hygentist said I should get more whitening bleach...As if I'm not self concious enough.
- Made it to the bus stop on time for once. There was no running with my huge back pack for me!
- Dropped my student id/bus pass on the cement in line. I have nails...I seriously could not pick it up. Thankfully some nice man picked it up for me. I'm such a helpless freshman.
- Made it all the way to lunch without any issues.
- Went to the library to cook my instant "soup at hand" soup...and when I was opening the top it spilled all over me. Yep. All over. Now I know why I was so prompted not to bring the tomato soup today. I'll just be smelling like soup all day. No biggie. Try it, all the cool kids (me) are doing it.

On a more positive note...I talked to cam today on facebook IM.  I love that he has facebook now. Some days you just need someone to tell you that you're pretty and loved. Even smelling like soup and being a helpless freshman, that boy would do anything for me. I am loved.

Just under 13 months until cam comes home.  YAY!

Provo, Utah

For those of you who know me well, you most definitely know this is one of my all time favorite youtube videos...this and the bed intruded song. I love them! and the girl that showed them to me...the provo girl herself and I hung out tonight! At her apartment! it was the best. Here's our night..
i get out of class at 6:45.
i walk outside and watch the parking lot shuttle pull away.
i decide to walk to the next shuttle.
i see kjeld and i chat with him.
i miss the shuttle again.
i call chel and get on the shuttle.
i drive to chel's apartment....REUNITED!! haha okay okay. that sounds so creepy, but I got to see my friend again :) i was happy. she made us her speciality chicken and grape and apple and celery salads.(healthy...) and gave me the tour of her little home. it is a happy place :) then we treked around provo to find a yogurt-land-type joint. our favorite. And we chatted and laughed about the awesome culture that is...provo. (that video i posted sure describes it well) it is such a different place. EVERYONE runs there. like seriously....everyone! i felt like i was going to run over someone! and there are lots of people on dating or trying to court one another. seriously you would have thought it was a friday date night, but no, just an average day in provo. It is a great place though. very happy and safe. I love happy valley in general, provo is just the creme de la creme. unfortunately chel and i were on a date with each other. i even paid for the yogurt (i hate being the man) and im pretty sure the cashier was creeped out when chel told her we were together. we will never live the "life partners" title down...
haha anyways...i had a great night with chel in good ol provo! here's to many more to come :)
