thursday top ten: Favorite Smells!

Okay okay wow...Week 2 and I am already sucking on this whole "top ten thursdays" thing. But that's okay. I will make this a habbit and it will be cool. This week's is my top 10 favorite smells. Here goes...

10. Cinnaberry car freshner
9. The perfume I wore last summer and all the memories that come with it
8. Halloween. The burning pumpkins on halloween night make an amazing smell. I love it.
7. My grandma kuball's house. There is just a certain smell there that reminds me of when I was little.
6. Christmas time. All the candles and fires and cinnamon. I just love the smells.
5. My mom's perfume. She's been wearing the same perfume since I was born and whenever I get even a small sniff of it, it reminds me of her.4.The smell at the beach. Not that it is nessicarily the "best" smell. But it brings me great memories and happiness.
3. My tanning lotion. I just love that smell.
2. Laundry, espically cameron's laundry. His clothes always smelled clean and fresh, his whole house smells like his laundry. I love it.
1. Cameron. He has the BEST colonge. I just have always love the way he smelled. He may not smell like that now, in sweaty philly...but in my mind, I can smell him with his colonge freshly on, and it smells soooo good.

The end :)

Perspective

"A life without Love is no life at all."

This week was cameron's 9 month mark! We are so close to a year it makes me happy. The one thing I have really learned from this time apart is perspective. It's all about your perspective on things. Sure, to everyone (including me) 2 years is a long time. Things will without a doubt change...But two years is nothing from an eternal perspective. I know that cameron loves me and I love him and I also know that minutes before cam was set apart his stake president promised me that if I was faithful to cam, our future together would be blessed :) The world and many people in my own life will never understand the commitment I have to him. But I love cameron more than anything in the world. I love his smile, his laugh, his old-man tendencies. I love his smell and his humor. He is the sweetest person I have ever met and loves the gospel. I know he will make an amazing husband and father. He is everything I ever wanted in a man (and is even brown!) I'd be stupid to give up all that we have been blessed with. One day cam and I will walk into the temple and come out as eternal companions. He is the one. My one. I know he is worth everyday of missing him. Fifty years down the road, two years will have seemed like nothing. It's just all about my perspective.
Cam and I at homecoming. We are trying to even out the picture.
Cam is making his head wider to match mine and I am trying to make
mine thinner to match his. Yes, this is the man I love more than anything in the world.

The Titanic

There is nothing better than hanging out with your friends, eating chocolate, and watching a chick flick...not to mention , quite possibly the greatest chick flick of all time...yes, TITANTIC!!! Shandy and I were talking last night, and we decided to have "Top Ten Thursdays." Top Ten Thursdays will be a list of our top something each Thursday. This week, the first week, will be the "Top Ten Reasons I Love the Titanic." Yes I am aware today is Wednesday, but I most likely will not be able to get on my blog tomorrow, and I definitely don't want this tradition to die before it begins! SO...here it goes:

The Top 10 Reasons I Love the Titanic (movie)

10. I love the ocean. Anything that happens on or near the ocean, is a good thing.
9. Accents make me giddy. This movie is full of ATTRACTIVE accents!
8. The Titanic reminds me of a cruise ship...only cruise ships don't sink.
7. I'm a sucker for love stories.
6. I  enjoy movies where a red head is the star and is pretty, not a pyscho like in most movies!!
5. Cealen dion sings to the soul. My heart will go...need I say more?
4. I love Rose and Jack's catch phrase, "I won't let go. I'll never let go." It is sooooo romantic!!!
3. Jack and Rose are basically the cutest couple ever. I just love them together!!!
2. Leo DeCaprio............so attractive. Could you imagine kissing him???
1. Leo DeCaprio is soooooooooo hot.

Enjoy :)

"Rose! You're so stupid. Why did you do that, huh? You're so stupid, Rose. Why did you do that? Why?"
"You jump I jump right?"
"Jack! This is where we first met."
"1,500 people went into the sea when Titanic sank from under us. There were twenty boats floating nearby, and only one came back. One. Six were saved from the water, myself included. Six, out of 1,500. Afterward, the 700 people left in the boats had nothing to do but wait... wait to die, wait to live, wait for an absolution, which would never come."
"Never Let Go."

Oh man. The Titanic is the best.

My Adventures at Work

So today at work my boss, I guess, tells me that I can move my stuff from my desk to my new, much bigger desk. I was so excited. I gathered all my things; my pencil cup, my in/out box, my notepads, ect, and head over to my desk. When I got to my new cubicle, this picture was hanging up at my new desk!!!! Haha this picture has haunted me since the day Ryan, one of my co-workers, took it and today was perhaps the biggest haunting of all. He and I have been having an on-going discussion/fight about Justin Bieber. Ryan thinks that Justin is the "new Barney." He believes this because they both wear a lot of purple, they both sing songs about love, the both start with "B", and they both have a large following of children...(can you tell I've heard this argument a lot?) Anyways...so he knows I enjoy bieber, so when he saw this picture on the camera at work today he decided to photo shop justin's signature on it like he had signed it (ya, I guess that's the kind of pranks you get when you work in a marketing department) so there you go.

This was another day's prank. As you can see on my blog, I have a picture of Cameron at 7/11 holding a large sheet of rice crispies. It is a very cute picture and I rather enjoy, so I put it on my blog...WELL Ryan saw my blog one day and that night, while at 7/11 had the poor cashier take this picture of him. Then at work the next day, he printed it out and hung it up to rival my picture collage at my desk. Haha yes...we have some nerdy fun, but man, I love my job and the people I work with. It is just the greatest!!!

Yogurt and Books

Okay...so for graduation I got a few barnes and noble gift cards. I went there last week and literally was in heaven! I forgot how much I absolutely love to read. I spent a couple hours there and finally decided on a book called Earing Eternity. It is a fictionally LDS book about a woman who's husband of 9 yrs suddenly leaves her and the trials she faces surrounding his abandonment, arrest, and other hardships he causes her. It is a testiment of the power of temples and of faith. Perhaps the most profound statement in the book is made by the temple sealer at her marriage. He warns the couple, "I urge you to remember that love is not enough, and will not solve all your problems. If you stay close to the Lord and keep the Light of Christ burning brightly in your hearts you will be given all you've been promised. But know that eternity is earned." It is easy to forget that each day, we as saints need to be continually working to better ourselves and become more Christ like. My book was amazing and I flew through it. I would highly recommed it to anyone. It is very powerful.

Last night, I knew I was going to finish my book so I made ashlee go with me to Barnes and Noble, where I bought 4 more books!!! Yep, life is good :))
My other new favorite place is Yogurt Land! or as I like to call it, candy land! It is so great. I went again last night and got $2.92 worth of yogurt! and candy of course! It is a great place to be, yogurt land :) I am very much enjoying my summer of reading and yogurt! haha

Friends

This past weekend I got to hang out with lots of my friends. It was great and VERY much needed. It seems like I never really get to see my friends. They are all so busy with their boyfriends and work, and I am busy with work, it just seems our schedules never quite match up. This weekend, however, was an exception. On saturday I hung out with my ward friends....yes, they are all atleast in their late 20's, but they are still my friends. We did the "kiss me dirty" race at wheeler farm. It was 4 miles through mud, hay bales, tires, soap, and lots of water. It was very fun! Such a great saturday. Fast forward to monday, I woke up and went to the west jordan parade with ashlee. It was fun to see the community all together for the parade. Then I went home and slept, went to barnes and noble, then had a bbq with my family. Later that night camie and I went to josh's house and did fireworks with him and lex and his family. Then we watched the big WJ fireworks from his porch and later went to my house to have a fire and just catch up. I love nights like that. Just being able to talk and hangout. Last night I hung out with shand and chel. We went to yogurt land and then to chel's house. We just talked and talked for hours. It was so great. I love my friends and I love being able to hear about their lives. It is so weird....I love spending time with them, but it is almost bitter sweet. I know this is the end. From this summer on we, as friends, will never be the same. Everyone is going to a different college, and everyone but me and shand, is moving away. I'm having a hard time dealing with this reality. I love my friends so much and this new step is probably the worst part of graduating. I'm excited to start this new chapter, but I'm just not ready to turn the page and end all this. Yes we will still be friends, but from this point on, it will never be the same.
